Lonie S. Haynes, DLP, MSc, MPA, ACHE, has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who’s Who Biographical Registry

Dr. Haynes oversees over 50,000 employees at AmerisourceBergen

PITTSBURGH, July 21, 2021, Lonie S. Haynes, DLP, MSc, MPA, ACHE, has been inducted into Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Since 2020, Dr. Haynes has excelled as the senior vice president and global chief diversity and inclusion officer at AmerisourceBergen. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring that the company’s 50,000 employees have a diverse and inclusive workplace, and that management is meeting the cultural needs of all employees, patients, customers and partners. Additionally, Dr. Haynes has served as a guest lecturer and visiting fellow at New York University since 2020.

Dr. Haynes began his career at Sprint, where he was employed as an applications consultant and diversity manager until 2001. Subsequently, he garnered experience at AT&T from 2002 to 2011 as a service delivery project manager, manager of network support and senior manager of diversity affairs. From 2012 to 2020, Dr. Haynes flourished as the vice president of diversity and inclusion at Highmark Health prior to being appointed to the position of chief diversity officer. Moreover, between 2019 and 2020, he was a founding partner and principal of Raison d’etre Consultancy.

Dr. Haynes remains involved in his field by maintaining membership with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the National Association of Health Services Executives, the National Black MBA Association and 100 Black Men of America. Alongside his vocational pursuits, he allocates time to participate on the board of directors for the American Association of People with Disabilities and as director of the board of directors of tBrexa BioSciences, Inc., since 2016 and 2018, respectively.

Dr. Haynes obtained a Master of Science in business administration and management from Boston University in 2009, having also received a Master of Science in management from the aforementioned university in 2013. He also earned a Doctor of Law and Policy from Northeastern University and a Master of Public Administration from the City University of New York’s Baruch College, both in 2012.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Haynes served as a specialist E-4, rising to the rank of lieutenant, in the United States Army and National Guard. Looking toward the future, he hopes to continue to teach, lecture and serve as a consultant regarding disparities in the health care system.
